Company History
The Enterprise Consulting Group is a privately held company
that was formerly the Enterprise Consulting (EC) division of
Technology Applications Inc. (TAI). TAI, founded in 1992, had
two key directions, an ISP billing software organization and a
High-End IT Infrastructure solutions organization complete with
key VAR relationships with the industry's leading hardware and
software technology providers.
Enterprise Consulting Group, backed by local investors, has
quadrupled in size and has grown its St. Louis customer base to
over 450.
For 5 years, the EC division provided IT Infrastructure
solutions/support to the TAI's ISP billing customers as well as
a growing number of St. Louis, corporations. As an integral
component of TAI's success, the EC division's growth helped the
company achieve a number one position in St. Louis's coveted
Technology Fast 50 Award in 1997. This award, presented by the
RCGA and Deloitte & Touche, signified TAI's commitment to
excellence and leading edge approach to IT. It took just 4
short years for the company to attract more than 140 employees
and obtain customers the likes of Bell Atlantic, Maritz,
Enterprise rent-a-car and Telecom New Zealand to name a few.
In early 1998, it was decided that the ISP billing software
side of TAI should be split off from the EC division. This
strategy would allow investors to focus on the core values and
directions of each organization as separate entities. Thus, on
March 1, 1998, the Enterprise Consulting division of TAI became
a stand-alone company known as the Enterprise Consulting Group.
Since those early days, Enterprise Consulting Group, backed by
local investors, has quadrupled in size and has grown its St.
Louis customer base to over 450. Capitalizing on the foundation
strategy of "infrastructure-only" their focus is sharper and
more finely tuned than ever.
